Q: What types of businesses are a good fit to become an Authorized Connector?

A: Any! This referral program was developed specifically for businesses to refer Comcast Business services. If you’re interested in earning commissions for submitting Comcast Business referrals, this is the referral program for you.



Q: When will my application be approved?

A: All applications must be approved by Comcast Business. You’ll receive an email notification letting you know once your application has been approved or denied.



Q: What are the reasons that my application may be denied?

A: Here are some of the reasons why an application may be denied:

     • Being a Comcast Employee within the past year

     • Participating in or being a beneficiary of any other Comcast referral program or any Comcast indirect direct sales’ channel associated with Comcast Business customers (e.g., Channel/Solutions Provider Program)

     • Being related to another Comcast Employee

     • Currently running a business with another Comcast Employee

     • Failing to provide a valid Tax ID



Q: How will I know that my application has been approved and I can begin submitting referrals?

A: All applications must be approved by Comcast Business. You’ll receive an email notification letting you know once your application has been approved or denied. If your application is approved, you may begin submitting referrals right away.



Q: Why do you need my tax information?

A: Authorized Connectors who earn $600 or more in a calendar year will receive a 1099. 1099s will be shipped to the address on file in January.



Q: Why do you need my banking information?

A: All payments will be deposited to your bank account via direct deposit.



Q: How do I request a new EIN letter from the government?

A: The easiest way to get a copy of your EIN verification letter is to call the IRS. Follow the below process to obtain a verification letter from the IRS:

1)   Call the IRS at 1-800-829-4933. The hours of operation are 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. local time, Monday through Friday.

     • Select your language preference

     • Select the option for "Employer Identification Number"

     • Select the option for "If you already have an EIN, but you can't remember it"

2) Tell the IRS agent that you have an LLC and need an EIN Verification Letter (147C)

3) The agent will ask a few security questions to verify your ownership of the LLC. It's good to have your LLC documents handy for this!

4) The IRS agent can mail or fax you the 147C Letter

     • Note: letters sent in the mail will take approximately 4 weeks to arrive. Otherwise if you choose to have your letter sent via fax, the agent will send it to you right away. If needed, you can set up a free fax number at https://hellofax.com.



Q: Can my Biz Leads account become inactive?

A: Comcast may deactive your account if you don’t submit any referrals within any 12-month period.



Q: Where can I get more information abount Taxpayer Identification Numbers and request a free one if I do not have one?
