Comcast Business Inner Circle Employee Referral
Program
Terms and Conditions
1. These Comcast Business Inner
Circle Employee Referral Program Terms and Conditions (these “Terms”)
apply to Referring Employees (as defined below) participating in the Comcast
Business Inner Circle Employee Referral Program (the “Program”). These
Terms have been revised and are effective as of June 26, 2025.
2. Under the Program, a Comcast
employee (the “Referring Employee”) may receive a Three Hundred Dollar
($300.00) reward, (each, a “Reward” and collectively, “Rewards”)
for each referral of a prospective Comcast Business customer (“Referred
Customer”) within Comcast’s serviceable areas (the “Territory”) that
subscribes to an Eligible Service (defined below) or Eligible Service Addition
(defined below), subject to the Maximum Payout (defined below). Any Reward
earned by the Referring Employee pursuant to these Terms will be included in
the Referring Employee’s paycheck and will be subject to payroll taxes and
applicable withholdings. The Rewards shall be the full
and total compensation due to Referring Employee under these Terms.
3. The Referring Employee is
limited to a total maximum of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000) in Rewards per
Contract Year (as defined below), regardless of the number of actual qualified
Referred Customers that install Eligible Service(s) or Eligible Service
Addition(s) (the “Maximum Payout”). If applicable, the Maximum Payout
shall be inclusive of Rewards per Contract Year (as defined below) for eligible
engagements with government-owned or -controlled entities or instrumentalities
(which shall have the definition attributed to the term in our Gifts and Business Entertainment Policy
(zavanta.com)), which shall not exceed One Thousand Five Hundred
($1,500), regardless of the number of such actual qualified entities or
instrumentalities that install Eligible Service(s) or Eligible Service
Addition(s). A “Contract Year” shall commence on December 22 of a given
year and continue until the end of December 21 of the following year. For
example, a Contract Year is December 22, 2023 until
December 21, 2024.
4. In order
to be eligible to participate in this Program and to receive a Reward,
the Referring Employee:
(a) Must electronically agree
to these Terms;
(b) Must, for each referral, be a current regular full-time or
regular part-time Comcast employee as of the date the referral of a Referred
Customer is submitted in the Employee Referral Program Portal (as defined
below) up to and including the date in which the Reward is earned in accordance
with the requirements set forth herein. Rewards will not be earned, and Comcast
will not pay any Reward under this Program, to any individual who is no longer
employed by Comcast at the time the Reward would otherwise have been earned
pursuant to these Terms;
(c) Must not be a current
participant or beneficiary of any other Comcast Business referral program or
any Comcast indirect sales channel associated with Comcast Business customers;
(d) Must not be an employee in
a commissioned Comcast sales role within the Comcast Business Services division
or any other role within the Comcast Business Services division in which the
Referring Employee may be compensated, whether in whole or in part, based on
commissions or financial bonuses for selling Comcast Business Services, as
determined in Comcast’s sole discretion. For the avoidance of doubt (with the exception of employees excluded by subparagraph (e)
below),
Comcast employees outside of
the Comcast Business Services division (including, but not limited to, Comcast
employees within either the Residential or Effectv
divisions) are eligible to participate in this Program;
(e) Must not be an employee who
works in a XFINITY Store, a Studio Store or a Comcast Service Center (although
such employees may be eligible to participate in the Comcast Business Advantage
Referral Program and should consult that referral program’s terms and
conditions for further details);
(f) Must not offer or provide,
or promise to offer or provide, directly or indirectly
any additional incentive, promotion, and/or benefit, financial or otherwise, to
any Referred Customer or family member (defined below) of any Referred Customer
to encourage a Referred Customer to subscribe to or reward a Referred Customer
for subscribing to any Eligible Services or Eligible Service Additions;
(g) Must not accept or submit
any referrals or leads for potential Referred Customers from (i) Comcast sales representatives or other Comcast
personnel, or (ii) sales lists, lead generation lists, or other referral lists;
(h) Must not use their
position, authority, or access to Comcast resources, information, or processes
to (i) improperly influence the outcome of any
Customer Referral, or (ii) allow the potential or actual receipt of a Reward to
influence their actions or decisions with respect to their regular job duties
as a Comcast employee; and
(i)
Must provide all of the required information regarding the Referred Customer,
including, but not limited to the Referred Customer’s name and contact
information and desired Comcast services, through Comcast Employee Referral
portal for this Program, which can be accessed through ComcastNow
or by entering innercircle.cable.comcast.com into the browser while connected
to the Comcast network (as the same may be updated by Comcast from time to
time, the “Employee Referral Program Portal”).
The Referring Employee’s ineligibility to receive a Reward for a referral submitted
under this Program shall in no way restrict Comcast’s ability or right, and
without further obligation to such Referring Employee, to pursue such submitted referral for Comcast’s own benefit.
5.
In order for the Referring Employee to be eligible to receive a Reward under
this Program (and subject to the other terms and conditions in these Terms),
the Referred Customer must meet the following requirements: (a) The referral
for the Referred Customer must be submitted by Referring Employee prior to any
sales activity by any Comcast sales representative or other referral source
with regard to the Referred Customer. If multiple referrals are received for
the same Referred Customer, whether through the Program or another Comcast
Business referral program, only one (1) Reward will be provided for the
Referred Customer based on the party that first provided the referral, as
determined by Comcast in its sole discretion.
(b) The Referred Customer must
either (i) not have been a Comcast Business customer
within one hundred and twenty (120) days preceding the date that the Referring
Employee submits a referral for the Referred Customer for Eligible Services (a
“New Comcast Business Customer”) or (ii) be an existing Comcast Business
customer that completes an Eligible Service Addition (defined below) (an “Eligible
Existing Comcast Business Customer”).
(c)
For referrals of a New Comcast Business Customer, the Referred Customer must
sign at least a one (1) year service agreement with Comcast Business for one or
more of the following Comcast Business Services: Comcast Business Voice
(including basic and full featured voice lines), Business VoiceEdge,
SIP Trunks, PRI Trunks, Comcast Business Internet, Comcast Business Mobile*,
Comcast Business Video (excluding Comcast Business Hospitality Video Service
and enhancements/additions to existing Comcast Business Video Services),
Comcast Business Ethernet Dedicated Internet, Comcast Business Ethernet
Transport Services (including intrastate ethernet transport services), Comcast
Business SD-WAN, Type 2 Access (Off-Net shared connectivity service)** and SecurityEdge™** (each an “Eligible Service” and
collectively, the “Eligible Services”).
(d) For referrals of an
Eligible Existing Comcast Business Customer, the Referred Customer must sign at
least a one (1) year service agreement with Comcast Business for (A) one or
more Eligible Services from a different Line of Service (defined below) than
the services that the Eligible Existing Comcast Business Customer was receiving
at the time of the referral or (B) add an Eligible Service from an existing
Line of Service at a new Service Location (each referred to as an “Eligible
Service Addition”). For purposes of this Section, the following are the
Comcast Business “Lines of Service”:
• Basic Voice Line of Service –
Comcast Business Voice (including basic and full featured voice lines);
• Advanced Voice Line of
Service – Business VoiceEdge, SIP Trunks and PRI Trunks;
• Internet Connectivity Line of
Service – Comcast Business Internet;
• Mobile Line of Service –
Comcast Business Mobile*;
• Video Line of Service –
Comcast Business Video Service (excluding Hospitality Video Service and
enhancements/additions to existing Comcast Business Video Services);
• Ethernet Line of Service –
Comcast Business Ethernet Dedicated Internet and Ethernet Transport Services
(including intrastate ethernet transport services);
• Software-Defined Networking
Line of Service Delivered on Active Core SDN Platform – Comcast Business
SD-WAN; and
• Ancillary Services Line of
Service (Ancillary Service) – Type 2 Access (Off-Net shared connectivity service)** and SecurityEdge**
* The Comcast Business Mobile
service may be included in a referral submission only in the following
instances: (i) when simultaneously referring other
new Eligible Services, which must include, at a minimum, a service from the
Internet Connectivity Line of Service, for a New Comcast Business Customer,
(ii) when simultaneously referring other Eligible Service Additions, which must
include, at a minimum, a service from the Internet Connectivity Line of
Service, for an Eligible Existing Comcast Business Customer that is not
currently receiving a service from the Internet Connectivity Line of Service,
(iii) when simultaneously referring other Eligible Service Additions for an
Eligible Existing Comcast Business Customer that is currently receiving a
service from the Internet Connectivity Line of Service, or (iv) as a separate,
standalone referral for an Eligible Existing Comcast Business Customer that
currently is receiving a service from the Internet Connectivity Line of
Service. Additionally, Referring Employee cannot refer, and a Referred Customer
cannot contract for, more than twenty (20) lines of
Comcast Business Mobile service at a Service Location.
**
These Ancillary Services may be included in a referral submission only in the
following circumstances: (i) when simultaneously
referring other new Eligible Services, which must include, at a minimum, a
service from either the Internet Connectivity Line of Service or the Ethernet
Line of Service, for a New Comcast Business Customer, (ii) when simultaneously referring
other Eligible Service Additions, which must include, at a minimum, a service
from either the Internet Connectivity Line of Service or the Ethernet Line of
Service, for an Eligible Existing Comcast Business Customer that is not
currently receiving a service from either the Internet Connectivity Line of
Service or the Ethernet Line of Service, (iii) when simultaneously referring
other Eligible Service Additions for an Eligible Existing Comcast Business
Customer that is currently receiving a service from either the Internet
Connectivity Line of Service or the Ethernet Line of Service, or (iv) as a
separate, standalone referral for an Eligible Existing Comcast Business
Customer that currently is receiving a service from either the Internet
Connectivity Line of Service or the Ethernet Line of Service. For the avoidance
of doubt, an Ancillary Service may not be submitted as a standalone referral for
a New Comcast Business Customer.
(e) The Service Location for
the Referred Customer must be within the Territory.
(f) Referred Customer must be
accepted by Comcast (i.e., meet applicable credit, serviceability, and
equipment requirements).
(g) Referred Customer must not
have terminated (i.e., “deactivated”) any Comcast Business services on more
than two (2) previous occasions.
(h) Referred Customer must have
an account in good standing at least thirty (30) days after the Eligible
Services have been installed by Comcast.
(i)
Any referral for an E-Rate customer or related to a federal subsidies program
will not be eligible for Reward.
6. In order to be eligible for
a Reward, the Eligible Service or Eligible Service Addition must be installed
at the Service Location(s) within eighteen (18) months from the date that the
Referring Employee submits the Referral to Comcast, with equipment meeting
Comcast’s specifications, and under Comcast’s standard service agreement(s),
and the Referring Employee must satisfy the requirements set forth herein.
7. No Reward shall be payable
to Referring Employee:
(a) (i) for any transfers or
moves of current Comcast Business customer accounts and/or existing Comcast
Business Lines of Service from one or more existing Service Locations to one or
more new Service Locations or (ii) Upgrades to existing Comcast Business services.
For purposes of these Terms, “Upgrades” means changing from one Eligible
Service within a Line of Service to another Eligible Service within the same
Comcast Business Line of Service (e.g., changing the type of Comcast Business
Internet service for another type of Comcast Business Internet service) or
upgrading a performance tier of an Eligible Service;
(b) For any restarts of customer
accounts less than thirty (30) days from the date that
the account was disconnected;
(c) If a Comcast sales representative that is a family
member of the Referring Employee is also entitled to a Reward or other similar
form of compensation related to the sale of the Eligible Service to the
Referred Customer. For purposes
of these Terms, “family member” includes spouse, domestic partner,
parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent,
sibling, step-sibling, step-parent
of a spouse or domestic partner, child, step-child,
grandchild, step-grandchild, guardian, niece, nephew, cousin, uncle, aunt or
in-law of any of the above; or
(d) For any accepted or submitted referrals or leads for
potential Referred Customers from (i) Comcast sales
representatives or other Comcast personnel, and/or (ii) sales lists, lead
generation lists, or other referral lists.
8. Only one (1) Reward will be
issued for a qualified Referred Customer who has installed multiple Eligible
Services or multiple Eligible Service Additions that were the subject of the
Referring Employee’s referral at one (1) Service Location. For the avoidance of
doubt, one (1) Service Location refers to one (1) street address. For example,
123 Main Street, Unit 1, Chicago, IL 99999 and 123 Main Street, Unit 2, Chicago
IL 99999 is considered two (2) separate Service
Locations. In contrast, 123 Main Street, Leasing Office, Chicago, IL 99999 and
123 Main Street, Rear Gate, Chicago, IL 99999 is considered one (1) Service
Location. Notwithstanding the foregoing, if (a) Referring Employee submits
multiple referrals for a Referred Customer for Eligible Services or Eligible
Service Additions at multiple Service Locations (i.e., one (1) referral per
Service Location) and (b) the qualified Referred Customer installs Eligible
Services or Eligible Service Additions at more than one (1) Service Location,
such Referring Employee will be eligible to receive a Reward for each Service
Location that was the subject of a referral from the Referring Employee that
the Referred Customer has (i) installed Eligible
Services or Eligible Service Additions, (ii) maintained service for at least
thirty (30) consecutive days and (iii) an account in good standing.
9. The Referring Employee
agrees to provide written notification of all disputes it may have regarding
Rewards within thirty (30) days of the date such Reward is earned or claimed to
be earned. Any dispute must be submitted in writing to the Comcast Employee
Inner Circle Referral Program Manager (email to questions@comcastbizleads.com
will suffice) within such thirty (30) day period; otherwise, it will not be
considered. Any dispute for which the Referring Employee does not provide such
notification shall be deemed waived. Any decision rendered by the Comcast
Employee Inner Circle Referral Program Manager will be final. Reasonable delay
in paying Rewards disputed in good faith shall not
constitute a breach of these Terms.
10. In the
event that the Referring Employee submits a referral and such referral
remains in “Lead Submitted” status in the Employee Referral Program Portal for
more than twelve (12) months without generating a sale following its original
submission date, such referral shall be deemed expired. Notwithstanding the
foregoing, the Referring Employee shall not be prohibited from resubmitting
such referral after the expiration period if the Referred Customer desires to
obtain any Eligible Service or Eligible Service
Addition.
11. Referring Employee shall
not be a party to, nor a business contact on, any customer agreement that
Comcast may enter into with a Referred Customer or
represent itself as the Referred Customer contact in any referral. In the event
that Referring Employee: (a) submits a referral that lists Referring Employee
as the contracting party or business contact, (b) is listed as a business
contact on a Comcast customer agreement with a Referred Customer or (c)
executes a Comcast customer agreement with a Referred Customer on behalf of
such Referred Customer, Comcast may, in its sole and absolute discretion, (i) reject the referral submitted by such Referring
Employee, thereby forfeiting any Commission and/or (ii) prohibit Referring
Employee from participating in the Program.
12. Notwithstanding anything in
these Terms to the contrary, Referring Employee hereby acknowledges that
personal information (“PI”) relating to Referred Customers of the Eligible
Services and Eligible Service Additions is subject to the subscriber privacy
protections set forth in Section 631 of the Cable Communications Policy Act of
1984, as amended (47 U.S.C. Section 551). To the extent that Comcast discloses
any such PI to Referring Employee, it does so in recognition of the services
being provided by Referring Employee hereunder and in furtherance of Comcast’s
legitimate business activities related to such services. Referring Employee
hereby agrees that it shall use such information solely for the purposes of
these Terms, will not sell (as defined by the Privacy Laws) to third parties
and will restrict disclosure of PI to those employees with a need to know and
shall not further disclose such information to any
third party. Referring Employee shall not use PI of any Referred Customer for
any other purposes, including without limitation, to market Referring
Employee’s products and services, unless first approved in writing by such
Referred Customer. Referring Employee hereby acknowledges that the breach by
Referring Employee of any of its obligations under this Section cannot be
reasonably or adequately compensated in damages in any action at law and that a
breach of this provision by Referring Employee will cause Comcast irreparable
harm. Referring Employee agrees that in the event of a breach or threatened
breach of this provision, Comcast shall be entitled to injunctive and other
equitable relief. The provisions of this Section shall survive the expiration
or termination of these Terms. “Privacy Laws” means all applicable laws, rules,
regulations, decrees, or other enactments, orders, mandates, or resolutions
relating to privacy, data security, and/or data protection, and any
implementing, derivative or related legislation, rule, and regulation as
amended, extended, repealed and replaced, or re-enacted, as well as any
applicable industry self-regulatory programs (including the Digital Advertising
Alliance Self-Regulatory Principles) related to the collection, use,
disclosure, and security of PI.
13. Notwithstanding anything in
these Terms to the contrary, Referring Employee represents and warrants that
(a) Referring Employee complies with all applicable laws, including laws
related to privacy and/or security, (b) Referring Employee has all appropriate
notices and consents and it is permitted to share the information Referring
Employee provides to Comcast under these Terms, and (c) there are no
restrictions on Comcast’s use of the information provided by Referring
Employee.
14. Referring Employee
represents and warrants that Referring Employee (a) complies
with all laws relating to government contracting and interactions with
government officials and (b) has not taken any action to improperly influence
any government official or government entity to circumvent competitive
procurement rules or sole source guidelines.
15. Participation in this
Program is completely voluntary and a Comcast
employee’s employment status will not be affected in anyway
by an employee’s participation or non-participation in this Program.
(a) Subject only to the
exception set forth in Section 15(b) below, this Program is not intended to
permit, encourage, promote or authorize the solicitation of customers for this
Program, and instead Referring Employees should only refer prospective customers
that the Referring Employee has a relationship with and who may have expressed
an interest in products or services provided by Comcast Business. The Referring
Employee is not permitted to perform any work whatsoever in securing the names
of the Referred Customer under this Program, other than submitting the names of
the potential Referred Customer. Securing the names of Referred Customers must
be done among friends, relatives, neighbors and acquaintances of the Comcast
employee and no door to door solicitation is
permitted. For non-exempt employees, submission of referrals should only be
done during regular work hours (and recorded as time worked).
(b)
If the Referring Employee learns of a referral during the process of
appropriately and professionally performing the Referral Employee’s normal work
duties, the Referring Employee may refer such business
under this Program. Any time spent obtaining information relating to the
referral must be done during regular work hours (and, for non-exempt employees, recorded as time worked). For example, if
a technician, in the course of installing services learns of a prospective opportunity, the technician
may submit the referral provided that the Referred Customer expresses an
interest in Eligible Services or Eligible Service Additions. In contrast, the
Referring Employee may not submit a referral if the Referred Customer has not
expressed an interest in any Eligible Services or Eligible Services Additions
to the Referring Employee. For the avoidance of doubt, the Referring Employee
shall not cancel any pending installs of Eligible Services or Eligible Service
Additions and then submit a referral for the same Eligible Services or Eligible
Service Additions.
16. Nothing in these Terms is
intended to alter any employee’s “at will” employment relationship, which is
described in Comcast’s Employee Handbook.
17. Employees who are
represented by a labor union may, or may not, be eligible for this Program. The
eligibility of represented employees for this Program may be governed by the
applicable collective bargaining agreement(s) and/or be subject to collective
bargaining.
18. Comcast reserves the right
to revise these Terms and to alter, modify, suspend or terminate the Program or
any component thereof at any time upon written notice, which notice may be
provided through the Employee Referral Program Portal, mail, e-mail or such
other methods as determined by Comcast in its sole discretion. Notwithstanding
the foregoing, Comcast may, in its sole discretion and from time to time upon
written notice, offer short-term incentive programs in accordance with the
terms and conditions of such incentive program and
these Terms.
19. Violations of these Terms
or otherwise providing any false or misleading information in connection with
this Program may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination
of employment.
20. Comcast reserves the right
to monitor all Program activity and to withhold payment of any Reward(s) if
Comcast believes, in its sole discretion, that any Reward(s) were paid to
Referring Employee where the Referral did not comply with these Terms.
21. Comcast reserves the right
to interpret the Terms of this Program in its sole and absolute discretion.
22. This Program is void in all
areas where prohibited.
By clicking the “I Agree” button below, the Referring Employee agrees and accepts these Terms.
Per program Terms & Conditions, educational institutions, municipal, local, state, and federal government entities are not eligible for referral.
